PSA on hot- and direct linking [Oct. 24th, 2004|04:11 pm]

[mood |annoyedannoyed]

This community has gotten a lot of new members lately, so I think it might be a good idea to bring you the following message:

Please do not hotlink or direct link to the caps posted in this community.

Bandwith doesn't grow on trees, and although I'm lucky enough to have some generous hosts who support me with server space, it's not unlimited. Just think about it for a while, I post about 30 caps per episode, 130+ people have this journal friended. More come over from newsletters and other places. 11 episodes are up now. Simple maths.

You might argue my caps are rather small and you might think you got a small friends list and what damage would a few more views cause? It's enough. It sums up. Apart from the fact that you're stealing. So just don't.

Right click, save and upload to your own server, then you can do with my caps whatever you want. Feedback and credits are always most appreciated, but not a must. All I'm asking for is not to hot- or direct link, one simple rule. I'm posting these caps for people who are interested in QaF and B/J. And if my bandwith explodes, none of them would get to see any caps. Not good.

Read this post for further info, on how to get webspace etc.

Thanks for understanding.
